NIPS College of Information Technology and NIPS Computer Centre are managed by a Non- Profit making society, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1964. Started in 1987, by a group of Non Resident Indians, primarily from I.I.T., it has had a sustained growth in its activities and area of operations. It is the only Institute to have the permanent accreditation to DOEACC O Level Course and is permanently affiliated to NCVT for 1 year Government of India recognised course "Computer Operator and Programming Assistant", called COPA in short. Besides the above it is also imparting training in PGDCA (Registered Study Institute of Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Communication, Bhopal) and BCA and MCA ( Learning Centre of Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar)
NIPS has trained thousands of students since its founding. A major percentage of NIPS students are gainfully employed in reputed companies in India and abroad.
